Close-up of our Christmas tree at the base.

Canon 6D, lens 16-35mm.

Sightly adjusted in Photoshop CS5 -- had to crop quite sharply because an angel's feet were treading from above.

'Joy to the World' by Boney M is one of the tracks that was playing.

The panoramic treatment really allows the viewer to feel they're actually in the tree, as I mentioned before, that I used to do as a kid. Another keeper for me, thanks.

If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.

Enchanting, Sandra...again, I love the blues, also the widescreen panoramic view...it's magical and beautifully done...I feel like I'm right there...would make a lovely entry in the current contest.

Thanks all!

Pat, I might put it in the contest when I get my head together enough. :-P

Skates, there were just a few clear baubles like that in a charity shop Xmas box -- there's an identical one with red baubles inside it, but it doesn't go with the silver/blue scheme. I was sending a lot of our decorations to charity after last Christmas, but hung onto the clear ones... just liked them. :-)

This is a very cool shot in so many ways Sandra. It really stood out among the competition and made the voting very simple. You could have also called it Fire & Ice for the range of tones it encompasses. So glad you got your head together enough to put it in the contest. A slam dunk for me.

And may I suggest O Come All Ye Faithful by Donna Summer? Ravishing.

Thanks Russ! I will definitely give the Donna Summers track a go. In my head at the moment is Ding Dong Merrily On High from an old vinyl LP I used to love (St Paul's Cathedral). Still have it. :-) Wonder if it was my grandmother's? My mother denies all knowledge of it... sigh.
