Biven's Arm is a small lake and my vantage point for this evening's wonderful sunset. Almost every inch of the waterfront is private property and it was like mission impossible finding a place to enjoy this view from. I hope you'll agree it was worth the effort. This is a hard-picked favorite from 50 or so shots.

It's all been said already, but this is a really beautiful sunset shot. The slightly softened reflections of the trees and clouds set off the crisp silhouettes of the foreground leaves to perfection. As good as it gets, Josh - respect :-)

I Can't Believe it has been almost a year, time flies by so fast. This was the first image, that I remember commenting on. You were also the first to comment on my profile to this image, I was just looking back at my information. I did not realize then what I had wrote, "Great Shot!! x2" thats all!
Well I do mean it, however I did not tell you that the contrast between the grass & trees is very good. The tree line does a very good job at separating the water and sky, the ripples on the water add more yo your composition. The gradient on the sky is delightful, the change in tones between the golden sun and fading blue sky is great. with just a touch of clouds there at the left reflecting on Biven's Arm. I might say that it kind of makes me feel sad, but in a good way. meaning that the image reflects a feeling of sadness and tranquility, saying goodbye to another day. I do not know what troubles you had to go trough to get this image, but yes it was well worth it.

I like the "contre-jour" effect you created here. Having the foreground in such silhouette is just beautiful, and provides a lovely depth of field without distracting me from the main event.
