Hi Tim, I think the elements of this are awesome, the relationship between man and child being rich with truth and the look on the child's face capturing that "other wordly" thing little babies have going on sometimes, like they are a gift from some other realm who have not yet entirely joined us. However I think perhaps if the man and child were some percent further to the left of the image (Because the child's face is clearly THE focus of the image and it's dead centre, which is generally a less effective compositional choice.) and perhaps just a little bit of manip to increase the contrast or sharpness of the child's face would maximise the power of these fantastic elements you've captured.
