This is a barn that collapsed after an intense thunder storm. You can see the amount of water at the bottom of the picture.

It almost look staged, like a set to a movie. This is amazing scenery, although it was after a storm I wish it did not looked so dark. It adds to the dramatic aftermath of the storm, still I feel it needs more light. The white cloud peeking over the horizon looks good, but that is part of what makes me want to see more light. I also wish you had it 1600x1200. Good shot tough.

This is a great photo...almost looks like a canvas painting. I love the dramatic effects of the darkness and the clouds. THe one light cloud makes you realize that there IS light after the storm....that barn is amazing...and the rolling hills..well, its all just fantastic IMO..The only reason I would like to see the real dark areas more lit up is so I could see them better. But it looks fine as a photo..great shot!!

Amazing scenery as David said. Looks exactly as if a shot from a movie by Werner Herzog [my favourite film director] or Peter Weir ...
The darkness must remain as it gives the dramatic atmosphere.
Also for selfish reasons I would like to get bigger res !

My first impression was the same as Verenas, that this was a painting. As for any thing else, nothing needs to be changed. Love that cloud peeking over the hill, & the darkness of the colors IS the image. Absolutely fantastic & a 10. Great work....

stunning detail - I agree with the others about the sizing issues and I think the sky itself lacks a little drama relative to the rest of the shot but a great shot none the less.

I agree, it's a beautiful landscape. Some have commented on the darkness of the photo. I took your photo into Photoshop and worked with the Levels command to increase the brightness. Please have a look at the difference (LINK). It does brighten up the picture - but it also gives it a completely different feel. Perhaps the dark and moody were what you were after.

After reviewing the play.........JK! Nathan you have done such a good job at showing the two sides of this image! I must clarify my self; when I said it was dark, I meant It needed sunshine! It does look better dark, like I said it adds to the effect of the image. brightening the image keeps the same effect, only lighter. perhaps what im thinking about is whole different image! I mean would in it be nice to see some sun rays coming out of the clouds and reflecting off the water?! which is actually a different "mood" I do like the image though. I do have to say again Nathan you make a good point! GOOD JOB Michael!

Nice shot of the Bard. I wonder why it collapsed?

This is a beautiful and interesting photo though I am another one that thinks it could be a touch lighter. It has an interesting story to go with it too. I can’t help comparing it to Bliss and think Microsoft missed out badly :-)

I love this, the barn shows so much emotion and the rolling hills, and man are they rolling, make it so much better

Great picture. Makes me wish I lived there. I would make sure my home was storm proof though. The countryside looks so inviting......!
Thanks for sharing it!
