thats so cute, i like the atmosphere you created, and i love the sprinkle of colour too, like randy says! only thing im not sure about is the person, but that may be just my taste!
We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"
Thanks everyone! I worked and re-worked this piece and finally settled on this render. I hear ya about "the person" in the image, JQ, but felt the image really needed a "day dreamer." I may also render it without him... This was a challenging piece and I may "play" with it some more one day down the line. Wen
Good job Wen! I feel that the person in the image stands out a bit too much though. He (or she) should have more of a golden shadow on him also. But it's a good image.
The creative act lasts but a brief moment, a lightning instant of give-and-take, just long enough for you to level the camera and to trap the fleeting prey in your little box.

Hi Wen....what a wonderful piece you have created here. I had it in the voting booth and gave it high marks :)
I love the way you framed it with the trees....there is a late evening 'glow' to the entire image, The birds and the flowers are a beautiful touch of color.
The only distracting factor to me is the figure laying back...it is dead center in the image and I found that my eye was drawn to that and kept missing the awesome details of the rest of the image.
You do what you do so good...I am envious.
Hope you don't mind if this lives in my favorites for a while. I know the grandkids will love it! The 5 year old always wants to look at "Mimi's pictures" when he is here :=)
Thank you for sharing this with me!
*edit* the center 'hut' appears out of scale to the rest of the image (as in too tall :)which is maybe why the viewers eye is drawn to the figure?
A wonderful warm place. I love that golden light, the colourful flowers. The huts are whimsical. The level of textures is so realistic. What a fantastic world you have composed here Wendy. :)
What a fantastic creation! The lighting is especially good, as it manages to evoke both a sense of the surreal but also, with that dark sky, a feeling of unease. Somehow this feeling is heightened by the blue birds, none of which are flying. One wonders if the person should be daydreaming, or whether he might be better taking cover if the giant is on his way to get his boot back! All in all this is an amazing work, and it sums up all that is wrong with the C-Index, as 68 is way too low.
I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!
This is very, very clever. Don't normally go for this sort of thing (computer images that is!) but this is just so dream like and atmospheric I love it! Saved for sure.
