Here is what the Great Plains of Eastern Colorado look like. Imagine a place where the pronghorns, which are the 2nd fastest animal in the world, still run wild(for the most part). The view is amazing! Be sure to check out my other photos of Colorado :)

Their primary predators are bobcats, eagles and coyotes(and people). In fact they are only found in North America and have been here for around 20 million years. They can run in excess of 60mph and unlike a cheetah they can sustain their top speed for a few minutes. It is said that millions of years ago, the pronghorn developed speed to escape fierce predators like the dire wolf and prehistoric cheetah. To find more information go here:

Wonderful lanscape. These animals running convey such a feeling of freedom, coupled with that far horizon. Beautiful colors. I've come accross some of your photos in the last couple of days and find you an outstanding photographer.
