Here is a shot from Chautauqua Park, in Boulder CO April 2004. The sun was just breaking through as I got this beautiful photo. Thanks for looking :)

So atmospheric - "mystical" is a good word for it. And so is "beautiful"...

I love the way the light hits only the faces of the rocks leaving the sides and the ground in shadow. Also the clouds ripping off the tops of the rocks lends an ethereal air to the photo. Great shot!

sweet pic. As a CU student, I see the flatirons all the time, but never under that light, since I"m usually sittin at home when it's dumpin snow. thanks now I got a sweet excuse for not mustering up the balls to check it out next time it snows.

My home range. My home stomping grounds. My father painted this scene before I was born...

But it's superb independently of that.

These mountains are unique in their shape. Love the way the snow is blowing off the top of the one mountain. Sharpness and clarity of detail are evident everywhere. The little bit of brown showing thru in various places add subtle variety in color. Beautiful capture.

Now that is a flawless capture. It almost seems as if the rock faces are standing up to greet the sun as it shines through the clouds. I love the snow blowing off the top of the right peak. I also love how in the distance the rocks and trees start blending into the sky. Looks like bad weather other there with a little bit of sun coming through to brighten everyones day. Great job. Into my favorites and 10/10 from me. Amazing job.
