This guy was alone and his demeanor seemed more threatening. His glance was wicked and we were definitely in his space. Needless to say, we did not wait for him to reach the road. Whewwww!!

A good wildlife capture, and I'm sure a wise decision on your part about not getting too close. Tigs♥ =^..^=

It's at times like these that you want to take your camera off auto-focus and adjust it manually (unless, of course, you really WERE 3 feet from the bear). The shot is good because it's a rare one, but the camera focussed on the berries instead of the bear. I don't know what kind of camera you use but the Canon EOS Rebels have an A-DEP setting that tries to expand on the f-stop setting for the shot (the higher the f-stop, of couse, the longer your depth of field). A good one to add to your portfolio of National Park photos.

A great capture of this black bear. I can never get close enough when I see one because I'm too busy running away! Very nice shot!

A nice capture of this hungry bruin. They usually run off before I can get a chance of even thinking of taking a photo of them around here.
