Shot at dusk on the coast of Florence, Oregon. It had been a windy day that left the sky virtually cloudless. A circular polarizer and a shutter speed of 15 seconds were used. Oh yea, and a tripod!
Wow - this is also beautiful! I love the many shades of blue in the ocean and the misty, surrealistic effect of the sun setting to the right. This goes to the desktop, with a 10/10 from me. Thanks so much for sharing!!!
This is amazing. From the thumbnail, I actually thought this was a painting at first by how the shades of blue blend together so nicely. The softness of the ocean / sky & the rich colors & detail of the landscape makes this a very gorgeous scene. I can see this as a large framed print hanging on a wall or in a gallery. An excellent & most beautiful presentation. 10/10 from me also.
Wow Gregory ! How cool is this ! I thought it was a computer manip from the thumbnail ! I love the contrast here, the soft other worldly feel of your ocean, it's almost surreal look compared to the crisp detail & sharp colors of your foreground. Very well done ! +fav !
Absolute perfection here Gregory! I can find no flaws at all, it is going onto my desktop and into my favs! 10/10 and if I could give you more I would, excellent!
This is a wonderful picture. I am puzzled how the vegetation is so sharp and clear on a windy day with a 12 second shutter speed. Magic I guess. Anyway I really love the ocean and sky in this. Kudos!
I just now 'discovered' this posting of yours...I tell you !! there is just nothing that compares to the skies and the ocean of the Pacific is there?!!! THis is a fantastic shot. I will never get tired of the beauty of this sea!! You just brought this together so perfectly from the place you were standing to take the photo..I found myself making this photo larger and larger so I could truly see every little thing on that scene..I love not only the waves, but the way the water laps onto the sand, then the colour of the sand..and the way it all appears like one great waterpainting. And the tiny houses in the distance, plus the soft gorgeous sky..I tell you, this is one of the best photos I've ever seen for the Florence area. I used to go there to pick up tons of agate stones..Thank you so much for such a most lovely picture...verena
