This location on the outskirts of Eugene, Oregon is a bit of a bird sanctuary. Most of the birds were not visible at this point in the evening but I wish I could upload the sounds to accompany the view.

Very nice, was this also taken with the e-500? I'm happy with the shots you've taken with the e-500, makes me look into that camera a bit more.

Oh, this is purty. I really like the way the water is in the forefront of the picture. The almost clear sky splashed with some color from the setting sun is awesome. Nice. Very nice.
This is a keeper.

I love the contrasting colours in this image--the blue and the orange. They make the entire scene seem so magical and surreal. The reflection of the reeds in the water is wonderful as well. Good work!

That which we are, we are: one equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate but strong in will to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

I bet you could hear the crickets and frogs singing away. Where I live there are a lot of wetlands and bird reserves . I'm always impressed with the varying wildlife of these places, it's quite another world. This is a really lovely end of the day sunset, it looks so still. I hope your bird watching proved eventful. Very nice picture!!............Amaris
