If you've got a thing for Willow Flycatchers, Black Terns, Soras, American Bitterns, Marsh Wrens, Raptors, Wood Peckers, Canadian Geese, Tundra Swans, Northern Pintails, or over 200 other types of birds, then Fern Ridge (Oregon) is your kind of place. I'm not a "Birder" myself but I'm beginning to take an interest in them thanks to the vitality of this majestic place. Even if winged creatures aren't your thing, this place is still very special.

I loved your other one and saved it. But, you outdid yourself on this one. The coloring and lighting is out of sight. This looks "gatorish" as well but I don't believe OR has gators (count your blessings). The little splashes of sunlight are delightful. hat kind of camera do you use? All in all, this is a great post. It's going up on my desktop-NOW!

A day time opening, how splendid! It reminds me of my favourite places: water and omnipresent greens... we have some similar marshes around Warsaw, I find exceptionlly interesting at dusk and late in the evening. Keep them coming!
