I found this moth in the garden hanging off of a small fern. It looked as if something had taken a bite out of its wing. It would try to flap its wings (it happened very slowly though) and fly away but I guess it was just too weak. I took a bunch of pictures, so there will most likely be more to come.

Aww, the poor little guy. Your photograph is great! The detail is excellent and really gives you a nice, close up look at this fascinating creature. I hope it doesn't hurt too much to have a bit taken out of your wing. :(

Quite an excellent close up. I've seen many of these moths and for some reason many of them have pieces of their wings missing. He's actuallly quite pretty. Thank you for showing him, moth holes and all. LOL

Poor thingy, but what an awesome insect this is, just look at all those details, for instance the eye on the wings.
