well this historic train is about to be gone, the owner wants to sell it to the city to make the tracks into trails. which will be nice since it goes through some very pretty areas, but it sure was fun walking down those tracks and hearing the train whistle and darting off into the weeds on the side and rolling down a hill. ahh the memories, but i digress, hope you enjoy this one!

I love this picture! It looks like an old photo and the snow coming down is so pretty. It reminds me of a Humphrey Bogart movie or maybe "It's a Wonderful Life".

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I had this one in the VB today. Gave it high marks! This one "talks" to me. I love it.

Looks as though another piece of railroad/railway history is about to be lost. Shame. A great nostalgic capture. Thanks for sharing.

I can't say anything but that this photo literally makes me feel as if I'm travelling back in time. Awesome work.

This old beauty caught my eye. I always enjoyed a long train ride. I'm sorry to see these wonderful trains reach their end. I always like to hear the trains whistle, especially in the night. A fine photo, composition, clearness and details. Really is a B/W classic. The snow storm adds its beauty as do those lovely shaped trees. Abby, this will be a wonderful memory to have :)
