Thanks to Greg (gs208103) for taking this awesome original picture (link). I submit a minor re-work simply to improve the aesthetic quality. Whats been altered? Background contrast increased plus flood fill (tolerance 11); slight rotational correction. Now even at full resolution it is impossible to see any distracting background. I hope you will agree this is an excellent piece of work (mainly by Greg).

Alex, this photo is an all-time favorite of mine so your rework of it got my attention right away. Running both versions on my desktop, I did see the result of your rotation and an improvement in glare around the lights. It took me a minute. What I had not realized and I guess that's because so many people run on different monitor settings, is that there was any distracting background to the original. I had to lighten my monitor up to see the work you had done there. Anyway, thank you for leaving the best of the original composition and I commend your work.

Well spotted BJ, I know the difference is not immediately obvious! In fact there is an issue with my rotational correction which I did by lightening the photo and then correcting the river baseline. Obviously the curve of the bikeway could be rotated futher but I believe this is now the correct view from where the picture was originally taken. In addition, even lightening the background should not cause a distraction now.

thanks for your comments
