But I am not sure about the composition, methinks if you crop out the lower part say 1/3 just above the first line of trees than the simplicity in here is doing his work much better....in my humble opinion ofcourse....
Catching the lines of trees in silhouette against such an intriguing background makes your photo outstanding. I'd suggest reducing the amount of blank sky because it is not adding to the magic of those silhouettes. Reducing the sky by two thirds would put more emphasis on the really interesting part of the photo. It''s a keeper!
And now for my two cents worth... The crop idea is good (perhaps instead of 1/3 of the bottom being done away with the bottom could be cropped to a height of 1443 or so) as is your idea on what you wanted to see/'show us' but I would like to see a little more of the close-up grasses to see what that would do... but not too much... I like the sky in the picture as I do the colour tone. :o) It's all in the effect of the layers of mist and trees as to how many would best suit the image. Looks like everyone has a different opinion because it affects us in such different ways. Good one! :o)
Excellent! Love the soft misty feel to the scene. The orange light is definitely a huge factor here.
Normally, I'm on board with cropping a scene like this to wide-screen proportions. Here though, I like the scene as-is. The "extra sky" adds to the endless feel to the piece.
Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun
