He swoops in, leaves lunch, then he's gone as fast as he came in. I only managed three shots of him this visit. The last one only has half the feet. : ) The babies have grown a lot this week. I am trying to get a few through the bushes.

Wow, look at him! He looks like he's scouting out his surroundings perhaps looking for something to eat and I bet those eyes will see something from way up on his tree perch. Quite and interesting bird and I am intrigued that they are referred to as green. I like the blue framing him on either side too. Good one, Elizabeth.

I wonder if his parents approve of his spiked hair-do Elizabeth. He probably is thinking about getting a tattoo. I wonder where Kato is? A beautiful shot and it seems unusual to see them in a tree.
Such a great capture.

Now that's a good looking Green Heron....I have found a nest here myself...but like you, too bushy to get a clear image. Wonderful take here and I love the FEET..LOL.

Just another great picture from the wowliz. How do you get such close-ups without spooking them? You and EJ give us consistently highly skilled shots of these exotic birds.

Such a nice close-up! I can't decide whether I like his comb-out, the speckles on his socks, or the fastening on his waistcoat that goes all the way up to his tiny, white, narrow cravat!

Great job capturing this, Elizabeth. I have very little luck getting birds to sit still very long, unless they are in the zoo. Nice focus and colors in the picture.

Excellent photo. The composition is good, and that spot of blue in the background adds a really nice look & feel to this one. One of your best, Elizabeth.
