After visiting Biloxi, I stopped off to see the new baby Green Herons. I was surprised to see the older set came by and was having a get together where the parent always stopped on his way out of the nesting site. I can see they still have fuzz but growing quick. The first one seemed to signal then they greeted each other.

They sure are getting big fast. They are a pretty bird. Very nice image of them, Elizabeth. It's funny seeing the peach fuzz on their heads.

Fun to see a pic of these teenagers! They are displaying all the confidence and insecurity of their station. They're grown-up now, but still need to return home now and again for some fuzz-smoothing and a sense of belonging. Your impeccable focus is always a treat!

Nice post and I imagine it is hard to find these to get such a shot. I can't even get one of an adult. Very nice Elizabeth.

What a great shot of these babies... they have a lot of their adult plumage already but they're still 'teenagers'...
