Another sunrise at the river. I noticed the absence of birds. Then suddenly just after the sun rose, four gulls started circling the harbor. Several would hover over the water, then fly around again, over and over. Then I remembered seeing them doing the same ritual other mornings as well.

The golden hue and reflections on the water make this shot so beautiful Elizabeth. I love the river dance music. I can hear it in the background. Great shot and title.

Wonderful, Elizabeth. What time do you set your alarm clock for? lol Just a very fine capture of that wonderfully golden water and the darkness of the birds and their reflections.

This is so very different. I really like this, because of the reflections of the two birds. The silhouettes of the seabirds are just perfect. Nicely done, I will enjoy this. Verena

I absolutely LOVE this shot Elizabeth. It is dramatic and elegant simultaneously. The colour and sheen is beautific and the comp is pinpoint perfect. If any shot can inspire me to get up before the sun with my camera, this is it! I would blow this up, print it on archival paper, frame it and hang it on my wall with your name on it, in an instant. Faved and adored from afar. :)

Elizabeth, the shadow on the water looks like it could be a person, in a way. All of the shadows and reflections make for a very unusal picture.
