Bare trees of winter by a local lake afforded a clearer view.... and one of the few I have attempted that were better than just a red blur. : )

It looks quite satisfied Elizabeth. Suppose it paid attention to your birds feeder(s) (if you have one or more of them, lol).
Love this capture as it's a very good one.
Regards, Cornelius.

My favorite bird and baseball team E~. That is why I faved it plus it is a great shot. They are difficult to get to sit still for a portrait. You did well.

I think the cardinal is one of the most beautiful birds. He reminds me of a little bandit with his mask. Great capture.

For being the state bird of Ohio, I rarely see them around here. Excellent shot of this one, Elizabeth. They are so beautiful.

Nice job, again, Liz. Your resolution is on. You captured
the eye shine. Unfortunately we don't get to choose where
they decide to land. Maybe a tighter crop to eliminate some
of the tangle. Very nice for a small bird up in a tree.

You're lucky to get the chance to photograph these beauties. Up here on the northern plains we are just outside their range. In fact, in my 56 years, I recall seeing only one - he must've been on vacation.
