That's what the look reminded me of.... just like my Granddaddy when he ran me off the frozen pond with a stick in hand... : )

OK, Loretta. LOL. What beautiful quality you have in this shot, E. I love the sharpness of the peacock's head, and the colors are right on. Beautiful work and post.

Nicely composed. Color and resolution spot on. I love it
when you can see the bird's iris.
Great job!

Yes, by the Beatles and not the Byrds! lol. However, yours does think its Mojo qualifies it for Jo Jo. Well done Liz.

Fabulous picture...love that irridescent blue! From my experiences with peacocks as a child, I think this pic expresses the arrogance and general disdain the bird seems to project.

I believe the term arrogant befits the peacock perfectly E~. Your grandfather was a wise man. The bird is really colorful and the clarity is perfect. Wonderful post.

Elizabeth - Wow! Outstanding capture in this close up with wonderful details and perfect lighting to highlight the iridescence of the plumage. Thad

I was reading about how in the middle ages they used to eat peacocks. Apparently, the meat was 'stringy' - so can't imagine they'd be tasty either.

Neat shot though. And better in the garden than on a banquet table too.
