The same young Great Blue Heron just after he walked away with his lunch.. Amazing to see how large their neck/throat can expand to swallow.

I've always found it interesting how birds adapt to us and the surroundings we create. This Heron is obviously no exception. Excellent focus and late afternoon light (I'm guessing - I really wasn't standing behind you :), every bit as good as any I've seen in NG.
