Centrally located in the garden, it joins a series of fountains and runnels that carried the overflow of an artesian spring down to the river. A bronze relief depicting the Old Testament story of Rebecca by the Well adorns the westenmost pool. At this visit the plaza was filled with various Mum displays including these giant baskets.

If my wife could see this beauty in real, think I had to fly back to Holland alone, lol. Thanks for this wonderful post Elizabeth.

Regards, Cornelius.

What an amazing scene...my first thought was "only in the Deep South" would one find such a graceful and unusual display.

An idyllic place and photo, Liz. When enlarging it I spotted first one, then several, of those round, suspended black shapes, studded with white dots. Then I saw wires and dots on the trunk in the foreground. I'm thinking they're all Christmas lights? If so, what does this place look like at twilight? (hint, hint, wink, wink)

What a pretty place, and what a pretty image you made of it! The oak tree alone would make a great image but the mums add something to make it look especially warm.
