London Arch, previously known as London Bridge and renamed after the 'bridge' partly collapsed in 1990 is found on The Great Ocean Road. The road is a 243 km stretch along the south-eastern coast of Australia between the Victorian cities of Torquay and Warrnambool. It was constructed to provide work for returning soldiers and dedicated as a Memorial to those killed in the First World War. It is one of Australia's great scenic coastline drives.

Am I correct in thinking that tourists were trapped on this side when it collapsed? That must have been dramatic moment!

Yes you are correct Samatar, luckily that no one was walking over that section as on a good day there are a lot of tourists visiting 2 people were stranded on the the tip and had to be airlifted to safety. Would have been amazing to see it fall down but a bit scary to be trapped on the remaining column.
