First, welcome to Caedes. Next, congrats on taking one of what will likely be many steps in your "photographing life".
Ok, now, for the image itself. I'm guessing you shot this for the lush green, and the light filtering through it. Nice start, but needs more to "make the shot".
Try this. Read up on the "Rule of Thirds" and focal points. Both will come into play here.
Had that shoot of (wheat?) been aligned with the vertical one third line, and the frame been balanced with other shoots, this could be a bit more evenly structured. Next, there's the matter of a focal point. What "makes" the shot? This would be anice start, perhaps a background for something else, like a flower, an animal, etc.
Keep going, and all the best of luck and fun to you.
Well, i'm just getting used to photography. I bought my camera just a few days ago, and i thought i'd upload one of the photos. I might - if i find one - go to a course on photography at a college nearby at september. Where can i find the "Rule of Thirds"?
"Any game in which finding something else to do for 10 minutes is not only
possible but virtually necessary isn't doing its primary job of entertaining you."
That's good advice from "third_eye" - check out his excellent images in his gallery - The 'rule of thirds' is on the the Other Stuff page.
I found this to be a good capture with good sunlight on this field and brilliant green and yellow colours. The one shoot of wheat certainly does stand out just like your title says. And welcome to Caedes Ahmed, have fun!
