It has always befuddled me that the lawns here in the States stay green throughout the year, despite the harsh winters.

Nice shot Andreea and it doesn't always stay green where I live. It sure looks good when it does. Excellent capture.

This is wonderful, great contrast between the grass and ice, and nice clarity :)

It must be the type of grass, probably Kentucky blue or some such variety. I love it when the ice covers the grass this way because when you walk on it, it makes a crinkling noise. I like the dimensions on this and the wonderful greens of the grass.

Good close-up. Lawns are amazing things they can withstand the harshest of conditions from freezing in winter to scorching and drought in summer and still bounce back!

Nice clarity in this one, Mrs. F! I also love the green popping through the ice, survivalist.

You can come photograph my lawn if you like...it is mostly brown with ice. OK, the weeds are green. :)) This is yet a different, but often seen, portrait of winter. Nice eye. ;)
