This is a closeup of what Alabaster looks like. It is gorgeous, reminding me of marble or stone tile. Unfortunately as I said before, it is really soft. This is from Alabaster Caverns in Freedom, OK. Thnks for looking!! ;)

That is what I thought of when I read your title and now I have a better idea of what alabaster looks like and it is really pretty.

It reminds me of the close-up shots of frost on our windows that I've been attempting... same sort of textures. Very interesting! But I'm still not going into that cave! lol!
