A very good documentary shot of this tragic event.
Photographicly, removing the post beside the doll adds more impact, and lightening the teddy bear a bit also helps.

I'd agree with snaphooter87, brighten up the teddy bear a bit. Very telling picture, full of emotion, good photo journalism. God bless the families..

Poignant photo...and it goes beyond the brutal contrast of the toys and flowers and the mind's images of the poor victims because this photo reminds us that it is Christmas as well. While I think you do want a rather stark darkness-and-light contrast as yet another underline to the entire scene, I think lightening up the teddy bear so that the viewer can see his eyes would add even more drama.
