I like it - the lighting gives a very nice warm glow and the placement of the objects makes a well balanced picture. There is a great deal of reading in those four volumes - you will need a lot of coffee !
Robert, the bigger question I have about it is the missing portion of the handle or hose for the decanter... why is it missing? It seems to have a negative effect on my eye/mind! Other than that... it is a great result for an experiment! :o)
Another thought... re. the tea pot... try turning the pot (about 180°) so the handle and spout are bringing us into the picture rather than taking us out... your eye will tell you if your first attempt is better and I am all wet. :o)
A day or two later: Hmmm... Today, upon viewing it again... the missing upper portion doesn't affect me so much, if at all! :o)
love this. i love books and coffee... :) i thought it a good composition, and i really like that gorgeous coffee pot with the bird and flowers. i like the lighting too, anything too bright would have ruined it.
I llllooooovvveeeee good coffee and good read!!! Your photo composition and light is absolutely seductive, inviting and marvelous! Love it! Great work, congratulations Robert!
A wonderful subject for a still life! The lighting seems just a tad, just a tidbit, too dark, and the top of the lamp? phone? is a little bit distracting because my brain wants to figure out what it is. It looks like there is a phone cord, so perhaps having the handset visible in the image, placed in a relation with its base, would make that work better. Besides that, a fantastic shot! :)
Have a great day!
