Rendered in Terragen with afterwork in Photoshop. Something a little different to what I've uploaded here so far.

HI Paul, need a little more relief hope is the good word to say had more deep to the mountain and the water part versus sky, real relax image dont mean flat in the other way the basis design is really well done, give it a rework just to see what you coming up with.

Just came from the "Request for Comment" thread you posted on ...

Two things jump out at me upon first viewing (and full-size view is a must to appreciate the subtleties of your creation) ...

First, and this is the painful one ... the orientation of your sun has created a tad too much dark space in the shadows of the one prominent mountain. For me, at least. As a suggestion ... and here comes the painful part ... re-orient the position of the sun and try a re-render ... or ... mask and play around with that existing area to lighten it up. I prefer the latter, as I like the fact that you have 'hidden' the sun. Tonalities should match that of the other shadowed area and I think it would be spot on.

Two, something about the placement as is, of the text doesn't quite balance out your composition as well as it could if the text was raised and placed just ... just under the aforementioned darkened area. The negative space that exists there seems like a good (IMHO) spot to place it. Now ...

If this is some or one of your first few attempts at Terragen ... really, really nice work. The additional editing in PS adds greatly to this piece's appeal in my mind. You have succeeded greatly in creating an ambiance and feel. The colour palate is good too.

Some very strong elements are present here. Just needs that tad more.

Look forward to seeing more of your work and thanks for sharing your efforts.

I adore the gorgeous golden colour of this, it is so tranquil and calming but at the same time so warm. Looks like somewhere i would like to be right now :)
