Don't worry, I have those too....at least it brings out the creative side, and turns it to something positive. An excellent manip, like looking into a dragon's eye (not done it for real though..LOL)....you are creating an impressive gallery of unique images..thanks for sharing...Jacquie
Great job. It makes me think of tears shed in a desert - literal or real (lacking water/love/...) - for what is lost or what can never be (crops/relationship/satisfying life/...).
Fantastic composition to begin with, well done. A few things that niggle at me though, the reflection of the window in the eye is a real distraction from the beauty of the iris, the tear I feel is slightly unnecessary as the image already conveys that feeling of sorrow without adding another complication to it. Both these things are small, and I'm extremely fussy. So don't be put off, its an excellent image. I'd love to see another one, possibly with a different eye sample.
Cool concept Paul, and nice work incorporating the texture(s) around the eye. Really nice work on that element.
Annnd ... replicating the reflection in the eye on that of the teardrop.
My own ... minor ... caveat?
Think that if you could have carried the tones of the textured 'skin' surface a little more onto the presence of the eye ... your piece would be even more seamless.
Can't detect the edges, not at all really ... just the tonality difference had me looking that little bit closer with a critical ... dare I say it? ... 'eye'. :oP
Yeah, nicely done and most welcomed in my eyes ... to see this kind of different work. :o)
p.s. Talk about the power of suggestion ... I can't help myself with the play on words. 'K ... I'm done. :oP
This is one of the most awesome pictures on Caedes, *applause*. I like how the background (behind the eye) you haven't just put it there but how you've made it look like the shape of the skin around the eye. I have so felt like that some days, down in the dumps. This is a truly amazing job! Give yourself a pat on the back, you deserve it.
