This is a view of what was Centralia. You can see the telephone lines and streets that was once a housing development. All that's left is about 4 houses (one being the Mayor's house) and three cemeteries. The building off in the distance is a Greek Orthodox Church. I was really surprised of how many Greek Orthodox churches there were within a few miles. Behind where this picture was taken where two of out the three cemeteries. So I'm guess that this might have been where a church once stood. Again, that's just my guess. Enjoy and let me know what you think.

I like the looks of the church amidst all the trees Adrienne. I think I would have cropped out the brush. I believe it distracts from the scene. I realize it enforces the thought of abandonment but it takes away from the scene visually.

Hi Adrienne
Its kinda sad what these mine fires have done! This used to be a very nice livable place now its pretty much of a ghost town! I think the shot is just great you have caught the essence of the desolation!
