This too was taken from diamond head crater, if you notice the pink building in the back, that's where i worked for the past 3 years until February. points if you can name the building :)
Name the building? Not a chance. The shot feels a little cut off on the bottom to me. I like the sky line and the effect of the blur though. Cool shot.
People aren't going to remember the things you do. They're going to remember how you made people feel. Be kind, gracious, and appreciative. Dan Winters - Photographer.
Applying a blur in post processing is a little difficult. Here you have building that are blurred at the top and sharp underneath, which looks so wrong when enlarged. better to mask around buildings then apply the filter.
With respect, I agree with coram9's comments. Or, the subject is interesting enough (at least for me) that a straight picture might be in order. But I'm unusual: I lived in Honolulu for a year or so in the early 1970s and am interested in how much it's changed since then. In any event, when people think of Hawaii they hardly ever think of the "metro-ized" area of Honolulu. That's another thing that makes the shot interesting. If you have it, maybe some less spoiled land above to contrast urban and Hawaii natural?
Oh ya I have tons of Hawaii naturals :) Click on my name to see them, in regards to the blurring, it's a work in progress, any and all comments are very welcome, and appreciated so I can better learn :) ty
