A sun dappled glade in woodland in the grounds of Wentworth Castle, Yorkshire. The quiet nature of this space seemed to be an ideal spot for silent reflection. I was tempted to crop out the tree on the left hand side, but decided to leave it in as it adds depth to the image. Enjoy.

This does look like a great place to sit and contemplate matters of the utmost unimportance. Or even just listen to the birds. Nice pic.

I thought I had all the answers, but it turns out I don't even know the questions. -Stephen Prothero (paraphrased)

The tree gives reason for the shadows on the bench, without it the picture would not make much sense, and in fact just be a picture of a bench and lack the impact that it has. The light foreground and deep shadows of the vegetation in the background also help create the mood. The only slight criticism I have is that the bench is too close to the bottom of the picture. A little more grass would help connect the viewer to the scene.
