I know it's a personal choice to present this image in B&W, you have your own ideas and stories to tell with this picture. IMHO the essential characteristics of flowers which make them attractive are: colors, scents and textures. Obviously I can't have the scent in a picture but it would be lovely to see these flowers in their full splendor.

Hmm. Well I would have to disagree. I really enjoy this photo in B&W. It really shows off the light comming through the stems/thistles. Great Work!
