Mimosa trees sprout and thrive where most plants have a hard time. Because they form such dense foliage and populate thickly they shade other competing plant life from the sun light. Still they have attractive blooms. They are also known as Silk Trees. There is one plant life that seems to be unaffected by these trees and that is the dreaded poison ivy (If it has three let them be).

Sorry I haven't been posting lately. Been lazy(?). I have been looking at your postings though, even if I haven't commented as much as I would like. Steve

Wonderful shot, Frank. Wonderful feathery and colorful flowers and this neat tree. I like the dof too.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

That is beautifully done Frank. It looks as if I could reach and feel its texture. I had one of theses beauties in my yard for a while. The borers loved it and it didn’t last very long at all.

There are three colours, Ten digits and seven notes, its what we do with them that’s important. Ruth Ross

I love texture so when I saw this on the main screen I had to get a closer look. This is a fabulous shot, clear, great DOF, beautiful colour and texture on top of all that. I am surprized it did not do better in the VB, it would have it I had gotten it.

Also would love to know how you did your frame, I really like the way its done.

that almost looks like fireworks, plant-style. great capture. one thing though, and it's minor. Perhaps for a similar shot, try using a tighter aperture setting for a deeper DOF, and full details on the entire bloom.

This particular picture is everything that everybody has already indicated that it is...except sharpness...if this picture was razor sharp it would be an award winner!!!!
