I kind of like this negative space contest. It has gotten my imagination stirred up. Walking in the park. I was taking a few pictures and decided to sit on the bench for awhile. Looked down and spotted these leaf things laying there. It looked interesting so I lowered them in my frame and gave them some big open space so that the textures didn't dominate the image. The brilliant color of...later examining them to be artificial...leafs draws your eye. Don't know why they were there but I wasted no opportunity for a simple composition.

this is good stuff frank, very unique and...its not likely you will ever come across those leaves again..lol. at first glance i thought, those sure are stange maple leafs. a good one for the contest.

The textures are a definite plus, and your main subjects pop against that background with their vivid colours.
