The current Cathedral – the fourth to occupy this site – was designed by the court architect Sir Christopher Wren and built between 1675 and 1710 after its predecessor was destroyed in the Great Fire of London.
Stunning photo. The darken sky just adds to the greatness of this building. Thanks for the small history lesson of this places, adds to the 'aw' of it.
I like the perspective used here, and the HDR does a nice job on the structure..almost lends an illustrated look to it. While I like the drama of the sky, it might be (for me) just a bit over the top. Maybe a wee bit less contrast?
Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.
Fabulous sky! Really sets the scene~this is just so beautiful! Don't know if you used any effects, but this is a wonderful capture and the building is incredible! Love it! :)Ami
I love it... I was in London in 2007 and St Paul is an amazing site to see in person. The picture and the affect you gave it is great. Great work ... FAVED
