Turning this into a b&w, with all that tiny detail, makes it look like an etched illustration from an old manuscript or book. Wait, is that Oliver Twist's mother looking out the window?

I don't like to compare B&W images with the colored versions because each version has its charm and exudes a different mood. So this is to me a perfect entry for the Wednesday B&W Challenge, Richie.

I can not compare the two version because each has its own charm. It certainly lends itself well to B&W making the viewer focus on the wonderful detail rather than the fabulous green. Of course it is already on the waiting list to be added to the BWC next Wednesday - thank you, its a beauty !
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Hey Richie, as the last winner of Lyns B&W challenge, it falls to me to choose the next winner, and that would be you and your Mitford B&W. Congratulations on a well-deserved placing! I will let Lyn know.
