My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Someone knows their owl house construction and placement. This one appears to have been here for some time, and they generally don't use these places if they're not comfortable with them. Living in town as I do, I have yet to spot an owl except for an individual on a branch, in a wood, with no house in sight. Your very inviting capture gives me an idea, though, to ask permission of our game and fish department for permission to install a couple owl houses in a long stretch of woods near the edge of town. It might be nice for people hiking through those woods to have something like this to observe, giving the owls plenty of quiet space in which to raise their young. Thanks for the utch, Richie.

If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
A wonderful picture however. Perfectly seen and captured!
