My intention is to create a surreal landscape setting when I chanced on these sand berms. They are actually only over two feet tall but I want it to appear more imposing. I tried shooting in a wide angle but the resulting linear distortion of the horizontals was not to my liking. I then shot at near ground level and cropped top and bottom. Brightness was reduced by 20% and contrast increased 30% to bring out the textures of the mountains and sand berm.

Nice work on the sandbeams...I think you succeeded i what you set out to do...Also, nice view of SMP...a pretty cool place to spend a warm day...Nice capture...

I visited it a year ago! I remember the ferris wheel there. You do have some interesting patterns and textures here. And the framing goes well with it also. NIce work!
