This is an old water wheel that hasnt seen use in alot of years. It sets near Prices Falls and is dry docked so to speak. I hope you like it. This is my entry into the current contest.
Good entry, Billy, and I genuinely wish you the best of luck in the contest. The cash prize sure would come in handy. The sepia tone is a good choice and makes this obsolete giant look pretty darn rustic. I'm going to have to look up rustic to see exactly what it's supposed to mean. I thought it meant "countryish" although most people think it means old.
I'm feeling like a jerk this evening so I'll say that the colors are outlandishly oversaturated and that the sky looks like you dropped it in upside down.
A seriously good shot. 7 out of 10 from me for whatever that's worth.
Billy - I like the sepia tones of this image, giving it an 'old-fashioned' look. The close crop works well for the image too. Good wishes in the contest. Thad
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
It gives it really old feeling.
