I took this in the city rose garden this morning just after sunrise. It is going to be my contest entry. Thankyou all for your kind comments and well wishes these past few days. They are appreciated.
My favorite tree my father planted one when I was born have not ben to Calgary for about 28 years always wonder if still stands never had the heart to google it tough nice entry Billy.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
When I was a kid, weeping willows were the best climbing trees. There were footholds and branches to grab everywhere. The only problem was that the foliage was so dense that you couldn't get much of a view even near the top.
This is a beautiful scene, Billy; but I must admit that I'm surprised at the departure from your usual landscapes which have been glorious. Admittedly those shots show vistas where the trees are miles away, but it just feels weird that you chose a tree in a cage for your contest entry. My best guess is that all of those trees in your landscapes are in such tight groups that they don't make a picturesque enough shot for your contest entry.
This is the second time in two days I've seen these exact street lights. Kudos to you for not trying to drop in a fake sky. It's a beautiful tree even though they have it locked up behind that wrought iron.
