This is a British Columbia, Canada, winner of a snow carving contest done this winter at our annual carving event during Rendezvous time. These are done by people from different parts of the world, and enjoyed by those who can with stand the cold.

Wow..What detail in the carving...and you have captured it perfectly. Love that big, blue sky against the white snow. Beautiful capture.

Unbelievable what some people can do. I can't even make Frosty look like anything. Great capture against that midnight blue background. Good post Winona.

Winona, Think it's a rather similar phenomenon that we have in our country. The difference is that our sculptures are made of sand (at the beach) while yours are made of snow. Beautiful anyhow!
