As spring is a little late in Canada, with a huge snow storm last week (in april...), this picture was accurate, as we all hope here that sun and hotter temperature will be back soon enough! :)

Love this composition David, the sunlight shining thru the melting ice like beautiful crystal..the colours so lovely and the DOF just perfect..I'll try to send some warmer sunlight your way:))

Perhaps if the sun had been placed behind the ice, the composition would have been more dynamic.
Something is missing for me. A descriptive title could help the less imaginative (such as myself) see the concept feelings or direction you were going for.

It's nice, I think you could stick it in a frame and call it art. It doesn't blow me away. And I'm still a guy stuck in an office who wants to see a wallpaper desktop. So the portrait layout vs landscape makes me less excited about it. But I do like the shot.
