The path to somewhere is always adventurous. This one is golden, so it may be leading one to Oz. I hope so. I could use, among many things, a new brain and maybe the courage to even take the walk! lol.

Emily, I think you are adding art here at Caedes for our desktops and I think that is great. Desktops should have variety for the viewers eyes, beyond photograhpy, abstracts, fractals, and computer generated pieces. It is also good for ones' souls.

The reason why the sunsets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

Pass the chocolates, please. A lovely looking painting. Some lovely bits of greenery with the hedgerows and flowerbeds/flower pots. What band will be playing in the bandstand across the way? I see order and chaos in your image. The path, hedges and pots are all lined up and orderly. While swirling through the air are autumn leaves. One of the pillars appears broken; decay perhaps? Interesting.

Painting is an illusion, a piece of magic, so what you see is not what you see. - Philip Guston

hmm possibly a string orchestra with random percussion. O;).

Your astute analysis, view, of this painting is well received.. you just need to add in the descriptor of deep sarcasm to the themes of order and chaos and you have my psyche nailed.

Emily - Your description is better than mine would be, and from the artist, it is more meaningful. Though, mine would have the same interpretation regarding chaos and order. Well done! Thad

If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera. ~Lewis Hine
