dusting off the dust~ish. to be fair, mexico has a lot of drawings of ambiguous faces and bones, i also really enjoy drawing celtic crosses. mix this with using bone and a none deleterious arrow through the cheek, hey. . at least. . this wasn't drawn alongside me sketching "the baby on a plane". just on the return.

totally no barbed wire, lets not be dramatic.. just the arrow and maybe symbolism with the celtic cross but i did not mean to pull religion at all into this, i really just like the celtic symbols artistically, decided his bones would make a good medium.

It looks like a railroad engineer marveling at the concept of flight. Nice work B16.

Maybe an arrow through the face is a new form of body piercing. I'd find it most distressing to have an arrow in my line of sight all day long, but hey, people do all kinds of stuff. I wouldn't have known about Celtic cross unless you mentioned it as you did. What I find interesting are the Greek words. They are words, right? Does the arrow have symbolic interpretation, Emily? Just noticed the suggestion of 'sunken arrow' yet you called this cob webs.

So the cob webs are going yo be used to sew the arrow wound shut once it is removed from the astonished chap's cheek I imagine. An interesting illustration to say the least. Good work.

Sunken Arrow is accurate. The arrow is symbolic, of the most sharp pain i could think of enforcing that is not deadly, the cheek came to mind, just a puncture wound to his face with the arrow still in there ( i was slightly unsettled with a thought of a male or males ). This picture is titled "cob webs" because i drew this last year, wanted to post, but do not feel this way anymore. Eubeen's comment is funny though.

Okay I can relate with this one. I have had a sharp object go through my cheek but my face did not look like this...it was much worse! It hurts a lot! Astonished yes, plus pain, make one contorted looking face. You can see your talent come through in this drawing a lot.
Very well done

Never could understant why people stick rings in their nose. Now I know! It has to be better than puting an arow threw it. I think of Carlos Castaneda and his other world which at times I have visited. The picture seems to fit in The Second Ring of Power. Thank you my friend.
