I am torn between scarecrow or clown. I leaning towards clown with the multi-colored makeup, the hair, the hat. The extended flower that just may contain a squirt or two of water. The lips. But where is the big red nose?
Scarecrow. Could it be a harvest moon in the upper right? A crop below it and the blue sky.
Or could she just be a lady of opportunity, she has gold in them eyes!
haha Jimbo, no she has not been in such places, thanks TiGs, C.Chaser.. neither she is the one homework assignment given to me by an artist that I never joined (his class that is), the assignment is to make a simple color palate. so he could see if i knew colors. so i thought, im not wasting oil paint for this ridiculous painting 101 task and did a color scale on a portrait. she could be a clown/scarecrow who thinks she has opportunity ;)

There was a movie that is so very old called "The Greatest Show On Earth," that had a clown character played by Jimmy Stewart. He was hiding from the authorities and he tried just to blend in. This reminds me of that. Great job.
Your painting is very well balanced. Very hard to do with so many colors. I don't see the clown only a good oil painting. As for the photograph it was well taken. Good job, my friend.
The reason why the sunsets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
A lovely little exercise in painting. A nice hint of emotion in the hatted woman's face, pensiveness as suggested or perhaps a little smirk. Good colours and nice experimentation with the photo editing software.
