In fact it's no real lighthouse, but I thought it was a good workaround choosing the right gallery :o)

The Bureau Tower at centre Handelskai is of its total height of more than 200 meters Austria's highest office building and the second highest in Europe. On 50 floors it has a total of 47.200mē for bureaus. Unique is in fact the short construction period: In order to organization of all working tasks and state-of-the-art structural engineering an average of 2 1/2 floors a week were built.

The Millennium Tower became No1's address for offices and shops since its opening May 1999.

What an amazing sight, and it's even better for the fact that it was taken in such low light. Of course it has been transformed into a lighthouse by the very fact that they have to warn flying apparatus that it's there and in the airspace. :) Well, I thought it made sense...great job :)PJ

Yet another night shot of Vienna & still i think there's room for more ;). Great shot. How high is this tower? 'Cause it gives me the ideea that you should find a high spot like that and take some shots of Vienna from there, wouldn't it be great? Anyway, Thx for sharing another impressive night-shot of Vienna. I'm really enjoying the tour :P. Thx.

Beauty is no quality in things themselves. It exists merely in the mind which contemplates them, and each mind perceives a different beauty.

A gorgeous sight of the tower Chris. Amazing capture and the silhouettes of the trees in the foreground round it out so nicely. Excellent post.

Impresive image of Millennium Tower, Chris. You've done a fine job of preventing or removing noise in this capture, allowing one to sit back and enjoy the mood of this alluring work............Neil

Your narratives are a welcomed guide to your images that you have presented to us.

Thank you very much for adding the information that you do ... it sets the stage for your photography wonderfully by already stimulating our minds for what is to come visually.

The composition of this shot is one of the stronger elements overall. I think, in my humble opinion, that it is very professionally presented and very well balanced.

One consideration and suggestion, if I may be so bold ... would have been to try and have kept the building's angular line at the top of its' structure below that of the two silhouetted trees. In particular, that line of the building almost matches that of the framing provided by the right-hand side tree's branches.

And then additionally to present a pristeen view ... center the building within those two silhouettes so that no part of either trees' branches encroach upon the structure.

Hope I am expressing myself well enough here so you understand my intent. Because I do like this ... you have stimulated my thoughts, and that ... that is indeed a high compliment in my mind.

Thank you for sharing some wonderful sights from your area of the world. That ... is priceless, as they say. :o)
