This is the Ring Tower. It was built from 1953-55, is 93 meters high, the second highest building inside the Ring Street and Vienna's first high rise building.

The Christmas decoration consists of almost 200,000 bulbs.

Merry Christmas to everyone :o)

Amazing angle and what a fantastic image of a Christmas tree it creates! Well done Chris at seeing this and capturing it too - I expect all the passing crowds were looking up to see what you were photographing! It is amazing what you see once you get into photography - things no-one else sees and photograph opportunities everywhere! Patti

First ... allow me to extend wishes to you and yours for a safe and wonderful holiday as well. Most thoughtful of you to have done so for us, with the dedication of your image here. :o)

Now then ...

Very intriguing shot. I really enjoy an image that makes you look and think twice.

And you certainly have succeeded on both accounts for this viewer.

A wonderful framing treatment too. It sets up the visual nicely and is quite complimentary in the choice of colour palettes. Great work there.

Technically, you have challenged yourself once again with a night time shot and succeeded. Good detail and clarity and nice natural colour.

This is a great image.

Thank you for sharing your talents, efforts and once again, information. It is appreciated by this viewer.

Beauty is no quality in things themselves. It exists merely in the mind which contemplates them, and each mind perceives a different beauty.
