This is part of the new MIR space station. Since Russia got a lot of money recently they put all of it into this new space toy.
In fact it's a secret, but I hope y'all can keep it ;o)
ouch..gotta stay outta politics...our town politics are enough to handle...great shot, Chris. the perspective is especially nice and it's fun to stay up long enough to be first commenter on an upload of yours :)
Chris, first I thought you were gone into the 'abstact direction', but watching your image I saw that you've captured a space solar panel. I'm very curious how you've got the opportunity to do this, as the construction of space objects mostly is secret. Good image with a good perspective. Regards, Cornelius

I'm sure glad you explained what this is because I never would have figured it out for myself. It's a very interesting shot but I too wonder how you managed to get it. I have a friend, a guy I went to high school with, who lived in Russia for awhile working with them on the joint international space station about 10 years back. Cool stuff. -Donna
Please know that I enjoy your work even though I don't always get to comment. I try to look at (and enjoy) all your new posts and always appreciate the time you take to stop in at my gallery as well. Have a happy day ;) Anita
Sh#t Chris, it looks like the secret is out now.
Do not tell me from who i heard, but the rumour is leaked that some people like: Phasmid, corngrowth, tigger3, fogz, djholmes, Anita54, jackygroen, Catharina, JQ, and twinkel found out your secret.
I am not sure about those above, but trust me, no one will hear it from me.
About the picture, well well well done, great shot, with a super angle. Strong image.
